Rover P5 coupe is another fav of mine.
I grew up with one on my walk to school in teal blue with a grey roof. loved it.
Sadly, after the old boy gave up driving I watched it slowly die in a half opened garage
Nice bit of history with 250 8-)
Sad about the p5 . This one's Bordeaux red with a champagne roof which looks more gray white to me  love some of these paint names :D

Some great motors in the background of the Love Bug and Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo (both shown over Christmas) - I recognise the TdF, also Bizzarrini Strada, the Apollo GT baddie car of course, lots of Cobras and TR4s etc. Monte Carlo also has appearances by Maserati Indy, De Tomaso Pantera GT4 (love the strobe paint job on that one) Lancia Stratos AND works competition Alpine A310...

I'm just loving what you guys can do with a spray gun, certainly puts my aerosol efforts to shame 8-)

Believe it or not, that video clip was when it came back on the market.

I then did this to it :o

Sorry, enough of my trumpet blowing, it is just nice to share with friends who appreciate what you do.

I do enjoy this forum. :D

This was a photo shoot that we were involved in for "Vantage" magazine.

I am currently working on that Ferrari in the panel shop. Prepping it for paint.

Awesome work.......doubt I'll be able to drop my 75 off at Keith's place any time soon unless the lottery comes in.

Only worrying aspect of the pics is no young uns learning their craft ? What happens when you artists / sculptures and top notch craftsmen retire ?

Yep totally agree . I come from an antiques background. I used to French polish before I could spray. And skills my dad's got with marquetry, in lying the veneer and other talents .Will be gone with him . No one does or understands it .These days :(

Thanks for the kind comments guys, Shrew is right though, I am cheap
From start to finish i probably spent 450 - 500 hours on that car. All underneath is also painted. It has a work of art chassis (well I think it is) After all, it is Italian :D

You are all quite correct thought about no youngsters learning the trades , like JB says about that beautiful veneer work, even stuff like Rolls and Bentley etc seem to now like finished metal interiors. I love a classic dash with wood and dials :geek:

Funny thing Tim, when my Sud was in the back of our unit, so many customers, who had these sort of mega expensive cars, all used to look at it and say they had owned / raced and loved our humble Suds. My boss used to get the hump as he didn't understand their interest. Don't think he would want another Alfa there :o

Just a thought but if you ever go to the Cotwolds, Tewksbury side. Try and visit Snowhill Manor.

Only went last year and want to revisit as crammed with a guys collection of hand made objects. Collected around WW1.

The place stops visits at 2pm I think as it takes so long to look at all the stuff. I was admiring a big wooden model galleon and my partner said `you

would give up half our front room to fit that in. ' She was dead right !

Thanks Shrew - My first spray job and I got the Flake - "Magna Metallic Jewels" from JA Pierce in London. It was a mix of red and blue flakes in clear Acryllic. Two coats of flake then three clear coats, gently flatten, two clear coats, gently flatten repeat four more times until the flakes were completely covered- the paint was about 1/8" thick! The fumes were horrendous in my parent's garage.....Three years later I did it again, having gone back to bare metal, with the Blue/Green flake job as shown.
