Next up..... O/S Door.....
Getting a good door gap is impossible unless the hinge pins are in tip top order as we know, mine were badly worn and as they are welded on it presents a bit of a problem. these are originally 8mm tension pins top & bottom. I decided to do something better. There is not too much thickness on the hinge bodies and removing metal in situ is not easy as you can imagine. I decided to open the holes out to 8,20mm and make up some solid hinge pins from the shanks of some 8,20mm long series drills
I ground the shank of the flutted section of the drill wit the dremmel with a cutting disc on it
A small was added to the pins and a grub screw fitted though the outer section of the hinges
I also added a small hole (about 2mm diameter) to the inner section of the hinges so some oil can be added when needed
