Sud Ti Race Car

Hi Guys,
Well some of you here may know me but I have been around for a while but new to this forum. Seems that there are a lot more active topics relating to Suds/33's than the other forums...Great!!
I have been quiet on the forum side of things for the last 3 years but have not stopped work, which as we all know is next to near impossible =).
I originally started out sprinting my 33 16v but then later decided it was a tad too clean for racing. This brought on the search for an Alfa Sud as they were a bit lighter and have always been a family favourite.
The Sud came from a close mate and had been sitting in their front yard for two years, snapped it up for $150 =))))
The original state was not too bad, couple of dings, broken lights and of course the std single carb motor, but nothing some TLC could not fix.
Over the next 3 years the car was completely stripped and rebuilt with the help of a lot of other cars for donor parts. After this the modifications just kept going and going and going....
I could talk about all of the modifications but will try and keep it simple:
- 1983 Sud Ti
- Seam welded engine bay, half rollcage (still street registered)
- 16v strut bars
- 16v radiator
- 1.7 twin carb solid lifter ver (match ported, C&B Cams, Lighter internals, 16v oil pump, Crane ignition, tuned length extractors, custom valves & cuts)
- Koni yellows, Spherical top mounts, Super pro bushings, spherical adjustable track rod arms, adjustable panhard, custom springs, Camber adjust kit
- 16v suspension
- Outboard brake setup - Wilwood 4 piston calipers, bias valve, braided lines, PMU pads
- Lightweight Enkei racing wheels (4.4kg each) Toyo Semi slicks
And a whole lot of OCD detailing, polished parts, re-nickel plated bolts, SS bolts and lightweight trim parts to make it look a bit more presentable.
