Anyone seen my car thread...

Post by alfasuddriver »

:?: Now and again members post a 'anyone seen my car' from years ago so I was thinking it might be good to have a thread dedicated to helping members find their old cars?

To set the ball rolling, I'm intrigued to find out where my Black Alfasud 1.3 SC has ended up. The reg was EKD 852Y and it was sold to someone in Chorley around 2004. She had black and silver revolutions and a nice Ti interior, does it bring back memories for anyone?

That is a close reg, I wonder if they were from the same Alfa dealer? Mine came from Cubleys of Ainsdale, Southport. I bought it off my Dad. When he had it it had rainbow stripes across the bonnet and side, they promptly came off!

I scrapped a 1.3 Ti in White with that registration..it had been someone's pride and joy at some point, feel queasy even now thinking about it. Loads of good parts were used on the Greencloverleaf I bought after that though...reg FUD 853Y if anyone knows the whereabouts of that one (might have the numbers wrong but letters definitely correct)

I can remember the car Richard, a bloke who lived half a mile from me owned it, sold it on ebay, but that is all I know, I bought a few spares from him after he sold it.
John.

It was a pretty solid car with all the usual rust issues sorted. The chap who bought it wanted his money back as he thought the steering was heavy (it had had new tyres and the strut bearings were in good condition so incorrect ) so I guess that's why he sold it on. Anyway, hope it's still going...
