Yes this site works unlike Alfa owners which has a limit on photos and most people are using photo bucket which is a pain .
I've had my Sud since I was 18 and had it on the road for about 6 years in that time I rolled it so had to but on a section of roof and restored it then . I took it off the road to do some welding and repaint it I got all the welding done and bare shell it but children came along and car went to bottom of the pile of things to finish . I finally got work to let me use spare ramp so most lunch breaks and odd evening are put to good use .

Today's progress back on its wheels it has taken me a couple of attempts to get the springs and top mounts right I stripped both sides and painted them forgot they are handed when I put them back together but I did have a nice surprise in finding I had koni adjustable inserts they came from a sprint I had for spares I only used them because they felt stiffer than all the others I had

Truth is tix was only old stock cars with colour coded grill and grey seats and they only had 95 Bhp not full fat 105 Bhp engines

Yer I know, they tried to get rid of "ti's" before the QV came in so added a few extras and called them TiX
Mines one of them but not going to be "standard", but apart from a bonnet and one second hand nearside wing and rear valence with be totally original

Oh and the 1.7 modified engine LOL

Can't say the same for mine think theres more replacement panels and patches than original . Mines going to be bumper less no spoiler no rear wiper single headlight if I can find some round lights with dip and main . But engine is still original just got ansa manifold and k&n filter

Car two years ago starting to bare metal in back garden not ideal, I done all the welding in my dads garage but when I lost a bit of interest he kick it out when he got a Morris minor so I had it down the side of my house for about 3 years . About once a year I would uncover it and start it .

Good on you
I too had the idea of doing this "solo" but with no support from "her in doors" and worst still the mother in law in which the "project" was too be "born" in her garage. I opted for the great Kev :D
I am now putting her back together and to be honest I'm left with "where do these go" syndrum

Good luck

Rear end all cleaned up nearly ready for paint had to weld inside spring area but most repairs I had done at home years ago so just had to grind down all welds and generally tidy things up

Some spray sealer and paint and looking good I always like to have body colour in the arches and underneath . I can drive a rat look vehicle on the top but the engine bay and underside need to be clean as same goes for interior

Last picture of front suspenion mount is something I was not happy with too much sealer same goes for engine bay that I thought was done . But I ended up bare metalling the engine bay but that will come later

on to the front panel finally got a front panel from mat in Bognor he also had front rad panels but thought I could do with out a new one wish I got one at the time as when I got round to fitting front panel and realised rad panel was beyond repair he had sold them all so I had to make one. While front panel was off I fitted new water pump and cambelt as at this stage wasn't going to remove engine as I had done engine bay before

You are getting on! As you're only a couple of miles away I would love to pop over and have a closer look. Assuming it's ok I will bring the sprint and you can see the task at hand!

You can pop over one Saturday when I'am working . Wish progress was as fast as uploading photos it's been at work for nearly two years been saving this thread as didn't want a long drawn out build thread

Cheers! I usually take the Sprint out for a run on Saturday mornings unless it is smashing it down.......again! It would be nice to find out if you/your place can do the welding/fabrication once I get the car stripped?
