Alfasud heater improvement

Does anyone know of any modifications to improve the hopeless performance of the heater

I've wondered if its possible to fit a series 3 heater, - same fitting through the bulkhead, but thats the easy bit, connecting to the 'screen demisting vents and the controls is the tricky bit !
