FAO: Surrey and Sussex based Alfa Owners

Post by its_welshy »

Think this might just be Sud145 and Pat :)

I know a couple us rent garages to keep the Suds in, would anyone be interested in clubbing together and renting a cheap industrial unit to keep the cars in?

It would be cleaner, drier and more secure for all of us.

Let me know your thoughts!

Justin

"problem" with warehouses I believe is that owners feel insecure when not seeing their car outside their house all the time :)

We have a similar warehouse over in an industrial area, which is slowly filling up and accommodating about 15 Alfas ;)
Must say, I was a bit skeptical myself in the beginning, but now I've got my trailer, my racing Sprint and one of my 75's there.

Glad I did too, as they are protected from weather conditions, cats and nosy people :)

We are prepaying at least 3 months for each car, which is about 30 Euros per car per month.
Got an electrical passkey door, cctv cameras with I.P. so we can watch our cars from home, fire alarm, burglary alarm and a patrol company that passes by 3 times every night.

Finally, we requested that ALL of the cars that are stored in there, have their battery terminals removed from the battery, just in case of a short circuit.

I think you guys should go for it !
Your wives would be pleased as well, I promise  They might even offer to take up the cost of the rent 8-)

I'm East Sussex based near Eastbourne. I'm renting garage space at the moment for a Sprint and a GTV6. I see positives for this approach in the winter when you want the cars under cover but only negatives in the summer when you want easy access to your car.

Having said that I'm interested. Any idea of location?

Only one possible location at the moment, about 20 minutes from Brighton, coming in at £320pm, but it's on the same industrial park as Alfa Lusso, so that's handy for any problems with the cars
