Steering wheel boss - differences

Does anybody know if thefiting for the steering wheel is different between the 33 and my S3 Sprint? I have inherited a lovely Nardi wheel which I may use with the Momo leather gear knob I had previously on another car. However I need to buy a boss kit and don't want to make another mistake...... I take it to get a fitment the measurements are the same as per a wheel i.e. centre bore, pcd/number of bolts etc. Also - what are the thoughts on the quick release style as I like the idea of these from a security perspective.
Or I also have the option of the wooden combo. Pictures of both attached.

33 and sud/sprint are different, yes.

The sud/sprint have a three bolt attachment whereas the 33 has the more normal spline system.

Your wood wheel will fit the sprint - 3 bolts.

The leather wheel will need a boss kit - difficult to find for the sprint but not as rare as hen's teeth.

Hi

See link below,
I,am pretty sure the early 33 fitment is the same as a sud and a sprint, 3 bolts,

Give them a call and double check. they have a choice of 3.

Please let us all know how you get on.

I have the Nardi part numbers and they are:-

Alfasud/Arna (which presumably covers the Sprint)
4302.14.0101
4370.95.0101

Alfa 33 up to 1987
4347.00.0105

The one for the 33 is definitely different going by pics so I will rule that out. I presume if I can fins a universal with the correct 3 bolt fitment and PCD it should be OK. The OMP and Sparco look as though they may do the job.

I realise the wood one fits incidentally - just not sure which to use in my car so was looking for opinions. I quite like the wood but just not sure how it will fare in my car.

My Alfa 75 covered 70k+ miles with a wooden momo wheel and knob, looks good still, I'd fit the wood.

Just had the same issue, i ended up finding another Italian brand called Luisi Volante. They make the hubs that momo discontinue and use the same part number.

So if anyone in the future is in need, its a P1004. I bought mine from an online shop in NL called Classic Passion, they speak great English.

Looks like last night's reply got lost.

Note that the Nardi and Momo have slightly different "stud patterns" so don't get a momo boss kit for the Nardi wheel.

(I do have one boss kit with both sets of screw holes - fits both Momo and Nardi. Not sure but it might be the OMP brand?)

For an opinion on which to use, if the car is red - go for the black wheel. Any other colour, go for the wood.

Cheers!

I have asked and this is no good for me alas, however just in case it;s of interest to someone.
It has the Alfasud boss but its a 6 x 100mm fitment.

Just for the record, I have picked up the Luisi hub and it fits perfectly. Looks great too. Job done.

All I need is a badge for the centre of the wheel - I think a 159/Brera wheel centre should fit if I can get my paws on only 1.....
