Tyres

Post by alfadave »

Any thoughts on tyres for my 5.5J x13 Campanatura wheels on an S2 sud.
All year round road use.
Maybe the occasional track day.

Have used Yoko A539 185/60/13 in the past which Ears Motorsport have near me for £53 ish.
Any other thoughts would be welcome.
Thanks

I put Vredstiens on my 105 after being told how much they improved a Spider and they were correct.

Great grip, braking and much lower tyre noise to the extent it really surprised me. Not sure if you can get them for a sud though. :?

I can only see Vredestein T-Trac 2 in 13"

No idea what they are like though?

Did you decide? I have been considering the new design all season tyres from Nokian or similar for my 2 Suds. Some of the quietest rated and also good in the summer. I have to buy 2 more sets and am very interested in people's choices. And yes, Vredstien also do one of these new style tyres.

I collected 4 Yoko A539's from Ears last week for £210.

They did have Nankang NS-2R, which do have better wet grip, but the guy told me they wear out quickly.

As I'll be using the car daily, I went for A 539's which hopefully are longer lasting

And the A 539's have pretty good grip, as I've had them before.
Were they a control tyre for some sort of Ford motorsport?
