I have had this for over a year now, and have only just given it a clean up with Autogleam's finest cleaning products.
It's a pretty solid old thing, having been off the road since 1999. I have history back to day 1, and previuos owners have had bodywork done as and when required.
As far as i can see, it appears to have had left hand 3/4 panel (from door to the back of the car), left hand sill, front wing rails, complete back panel and inner panel, door skins.
It now needs, bottom of door skins, right hand side floor to sill, the back of one of the inner sills, and there are some small holes in the battery tray, although there is a lot of clean un rusty paint in there too. The engine bay has suffered from being kept outside for a year, previous to me.
I have had engine turning over, there is brilliant compression, and great oil pressure on the starter. The carbs need a rebuild.
I have so farr collected; complete exhaust, all brake calipers, clutch and brake hydraulics.
I do have the wheels (imperial) but the tyres are porous.
Although the wings on it are fine, they are pattern, and i have managed to get some original Alfa ones, new and in primer.
The interior has cleaned up brilliantly, a few holes in seats, and it has electric windows!.
I have quite a lot of early front headlights, and metal frames to put them in, but this car has the later plastic surrounds, and i only have the two outer headlights, but none of the plastic fittings or screws for that type. I do have a better bonnet.
The thing is that i now have two series 1 ti Alfasuds, and i should really pass this one along. The parts collected so far probably stand me in for £800-900.
I'm thinking of putting the car up for sale, without parts, as the new owner is likely to be a sud wnthusiast and may have the parts needed.
What do you think i should ask?
Here are some pics.
