This sucks, I really don't want to do this but...
A few weeks back I traveled up to Bonny Scotland to pick up a 16v 33 unseen and partially stripped with sill and floorpan cut out of it and a small bit of accident damage on the front NS corner. All was well.
Got it back and had a good run over it with a pal, it seems that either the cutting or the accident damage or both have done something to the shell as it ain't straight anymore and may need jigging. I was given this car for free by bobdebouwer on alfaowner on the proviso that it was for restoration and not for breaking, that said it's sadly not viable to do as the shell is just too far gone so I'll be splitting whatever I make with him.
I will start stripping her ASAP and storing the parts, I need to compression test the engine to ,make sure its decent. The gearbox I have no idea, I can select ratios but have no way of guaranteeing if its good or not. the interior is from an Imola spec car, it has a fully openiing factory sunroof. bushings are shot shocks feel bouncy but interior is all there. The engine is the 16v injected lump with dizzy so pick of the bunch IMO.
Genuinely gutted about this as with family commitments and boring grown up stuff I was hoping this would be a cheap way to get my bum into the seat of a 33 again.
