Being a massive f1 fan , this is a very sad day for me . Senna to me was a driving god ! In a time where there was no gadgets or not many. He drove at 110% the master of Monaco
I still remember that weekend , the day before Rolland Ratzenberger had died in qualifying. The whole weekend was very dark! If any of you have not yet watch the film senna . Watch it!blow me away!!
Here's a couple of pics from last years goodwood mclaren mp4/4 and lotus and a pic of the great man on the greatest track in the most successful f1 car ever, the mp4/4

not many people remember roland ratzenbergers' death the day before.
i do as in the years before he was a big player on the british racing scene, F3000 & BTCC etc.
always went flat chat, remember him driving at donnington one year in F3000 and going off at mcleans, kept the foot in through the gravel trap opposite lock and all and managed to get out the other side
a lot has changed since, and not for the better. those were real drivers in difficult to drive cars.
he was a great driver, but its understander able people only remember senna,he was on another level! Watched some great documentaries on sky f1 Tonight .those where the days proper racing

Yes, I remember that weekend. In my head, it doesn't seem that long ago - still the "modern" era.
Probably explains why "Senna" was showing on ITV4 again. Great documentary about a very special guy. At the time I remember being very angry about the introduction of the reduced downforce rules and then suddenly everyone was flying off the road. Too big a co-incidence surely?
