My Series 2 Survivor
My Series 2 Survivor
Hello everyone,
My name is Michael and I am a newbie to posting on CAF, I would like to introduce myself and my Sud. I have been an Alfa enthusiast since my teens and that is a while ago now! In the 80's I owned a Series 2 Sud, a Campari and yes, most of you will never of heard of one but they did exist. I will put a separate post up with some images at a later date.
I have always wanted another Sud and eventually found one about 18 months ago, a low mileage family owned car from new which is a very good original example.
I would love to know how many Series 2 ti's are registered in the uk, I think I am aware of about half a dozen.

Welcome to CAF Michael.
Hopefully you will get some feedback as to how many S2's are still about, not always easy to get a accurate number as it seems to rely on people supplying their details.
Your car looks very smart and it sounds like it is very original as well.
It has been a bit quiet on here for a while, but there are some helpful people.
Looking forward to some old photos of your old motor, I for one had not heard of that.
Hope you find some interesting threads to go through.

Re: My Series 2 Survivor
Hello again, welcome to CAF. Richard here, so good to meet you and great to see your car. I think it’s the most original time warp Alfasud I’ve seen in a long time. Felt like I was getting in a showroom new car when I sat in your car, I was glad of the experience as I missed them as new the first time around. I do remember seeing new S3 Suds at Cubleys of Ainsdale as a kid..so exciting! Are you going to the Classic Car show at the NEC in November?
Re: My Series 2 Survivor
Hi Richard, glad you enjoyed the S2 experience, quite a contrast to the S3, especially the interior.
I don’t think I will make it to the NEC this year, too much going on at the moment.
Wishing you all the best with your Sprint project and I’ve got to ask, why on earth is your S3 up for sale?

Re: My Series 2 Survivor
Hi Michael,
Well I’ve had my Sud for 10 almost 11 years and whilst I love it to bits I hardly use it. It feels like the time for a new adventure. There’s always a new project just around the corner. I really enjoy the restoration process and know some great people who can help me achieve the results I’d like. It also gets me out of the office and takes my mind off work!!

I couldn’t agree more about the satisfaction you get from the restoration process, great for taking your mind off things. Having the Sud there though, just waiting to be driven is also a great tonic and puts a smile on my face even just looking at it. Hope you don’t regret it!

Thanks for your message Dave, I was not aware of your car so that is another one on my list of survivors.
I hope you are soon back on the road.

Hi Dave, thanks for the info. I did register my car with the club but have not really been able to get any further information.
