Ridgard

Dies anyone know if Ridgard designed seats are still being made following Bob’s passing last year. The Ridgard website is still up but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

Hi, saw a similar thread on PistonHeads that wasn’t able to confirm either (not much help sorry)

What were you thinking ? I’ve always had off the shelf seats and they’ve all been pretty good. But I’m also skinny so an easier shape to squeeze in a mass produced seat.

I liberated one that was on a Lancia I used to own and the Lancia was sold on without it. The Best seat ever in or out of a car. Really light weight too. I’ve used/ got Sparco and Tillets too and they are horrible in comparison. I wanted another to match my seat that’s all.

It’s not just the shape and skinny or not (I’m only 12 stone and 5 10) - they are hugging cosy comfy seats. I’ve sat at the start line of events with a aching back or cold (tillets) but you’d never get that with a Ridgard - positively invite you into the car they do.

I never met Bob Ridgard but I imagine I’d have liked him.

Shrew (big chief petrolhead of the forum) was selling a Lovely pair some time ago. I imagine he’s sold them but worth asking.
