Top of the mountain.

So taking a vacation in Cyprus we decided to rent a car (well I say a car, me being me went for the cheapest option and ended up with a Toyota Aris type thingy with auto box that seemed to have an endless amount of gears and a slipping clutch and all of 10hp), so off we went for a tour through the mountains stopping at various sight seeing place on route.
Decideing on going to the top, well the square near the top, of the Troodos mountains and have a look around and the obligatory dink whilst the little Shiteota was cooling down from a torturous drive up (still believe that the clutch was slipping). Have looked around the few trinket shops we went to get back in the car only to see what I thought was a mirage (too hot and a small beer inside of me) that was an S2 33 1.7 QV with what looked like 3 late teenagers getting in to it to drive off, of course I expressed an interest to their amazement like its just a car to them but was just a little bit envious having to follow them out of the car park in my Shiteota.
Unfortunately I did not have a camera or phone to hand so sorry no picks, but on an island were the only other Alfas I have seen are a couple of modern giuliettas and a modern spider and the odd 156, I found it remarkable to see such a nice example of a 33 in the hands of youth when all the other young gents had lowered Hondas or BMWs, (sorry for using the dreaded three letters).
Couple of days left here so will keep my eyes open for any more early Alfas.

Bet it has a CVT transmission mate, like riding in an old DAF or Volvo!

Bet Chris will know the car, may even have been him or his mates? Can't be that many on the Island, certainly few that he wouldn't know of.
