my eldest is selling his soon Pat, but its a 2.4.

if i'm honest, not just because i'm selling the car for him, but having had both engines before, i'd always go for the 5 cylinder, its a peach, and only suffers about 2 maybe 3 mpg less than the revving 1.9 in my experience.

45mpg but 200bhp and tons of torque on tap, they make a lot of sense to me :D

Best looking 4 door on the road, especially in TI spec.
Had a 1.9 JTDM Lusso spec (cheaper tyres). The 1.9 has the dreaded m32 GM six speed box and yes I had mine rebuilt too at £1.7K (clutch and DMF done at the same time mind) as do many others, the bearings tend to give out which begin with wining in 5th and 6th and 1st gear jumping out so worth checking by holding the lever in 1st whilst accelerating and feeling for it kicking back and listen for any wining in the top 2 gears. The later 2010 cars have the 2.0 litre engine and the F40 box, a lot more efficient engine and reliable box. Front sub frames susceptible to early rusting so worth checking and knocking front suspension (upper wish bones).
I loved the 159 and wish I still had it sometimes, but the wife found it heavy to drive so we now have the G.
They ran a LTD edition Black non TI but had the 19s in dark anthracite, side skirts etc but with Lusso interior to celebrate the James Bond film in which it featured, might be worth looking out for as they looked proper stealthy.
