Front Brake Caliper Outer Adjuster Caps

Post by Spacenut »

Anyone have a spare pair of the plastic hex head caps that screw into the outer adjusters on Alfasud inboard front calipers? I've just got my (fixed) calipers back, with re-cut bleed screw seats, re-painted and pressure tested to 2000 psi - but both the plastic caps were broken during disassembly.

No immediate rush, but I would like to keep the worst of the weather off the adjusters. They are a bit more exposed in my application.

Thanks guys!

Lauren

It's true, I love Sud specials!

Watch out for more unsolicited (and possibly unwanted) discussion on...

Alfasud Turbowainer
Alfasud Wainer Bimotore
Prototype Giocattolo

Etcetera, etcetera...

And a quick update - there was a pair of caliper adjuster caps waiting for me when I got home from work this evening. Absolutely brilliant! Thanks again to all you good people on CAF, and especially to John at Justsuds, you are the best!

An intresting group of cars, but strangely the GlaichTi 1.5 106 PS is described as having twin carbs etc before Alfa did it, but shows a supercharged engine that appears to have come from BLS in Lincoln judging by the box behind it in the photo ! No mention of it in the text.

Cheers Lauren, glad you got the bits !

Hmm, they seem to have used a photo from our old website - it's Mark Riddles 1.7 Supercharged engine...with a bit more than 106ps :)

Ive got that photo in my laptop too, although i knew its origin was as displayed, but it seems odd that they didn't have anything from the car they are on about, and not something so hugely different!

I think Tom should have a few quid for that!

Check out Tim's Alfasud pages, I think the Italian site is a direct crib of this one (or possibly the other way round)...

http://alfasud.alfisti.net/indexe.htm

...either way, you can select the English text version. Happy reading!

Lauren

PS - the Turbowainer and Bimotore concepts are in the Tuning section. Prototypes for the Caimano and Sprint 6C!
