very interesting that mate, having a valve that could be opened and held open like that with endless permutations of valve timing, lift and duration surely spells the end for the set in stone camshaft timing? even allowing for the slight adjustments to be gained from VVT systems at the moment it's still a fairly in-flexible set of timings

Is this the future?

I certainly hope its one of the possibilities and strong candidates!

Anyone who's got me started on cats, egrs, dpfs and the whole farce of emission control bollox will know that ive always said that if the pursuit of power had been left alone, largely in the 80s and early 90's, the common place turbo era, it would have meant that cylinder head efficiency would have risen to the point of negating all the crap we have to suffer now anyway I'm sure.

This kind of ingenuity proves that i think. Very clever isnt it, and if the gains he states become factual and accepted, it could be incredible!

Its not the first time I've come across this sort if arrangement. Its also been designed to run electro magnetically, and semi electric / pneumatic too i think, but these Koeniggsegg boys have taken it way further towards a completed acknowledged device, bravo.

Right againthen Shrew!, the power chaps are going to eventually show us how to also be very clean and efficient.

Its that good, i wonder if we'll ever hear of it again?

God I'm sceptical!
