Hi all, not for Alfa, but my old Land rover, I have been asked to get an agreed value form validated by a "Motor Engineer" or Club valuations officer, the Land rover club don't have a valuations officer so does any one know anyone locally (Notts) who can do this?
Cheers
Chris

Re: Insurance valuations
Hmmm, interesting one Chris
i tell you who might be able to help, TR Enterprises at Blidworth.
yes they're triumph guys mainly, but they deal with classic cars of all descriptions and are moving in the right circles so to speak, so i reckon they might know someone.
i can ask them if you like Chris, i speak with them fairly regularly, just holla if you want

Re: Insurance valuations
Thanks for that, I got the form through today... very poor, basically I just need a garage with a stamp to say what I have ticked regarding body work, tyres, etc are like is correct and that's it! I may ask my local garage if they will do it. The other option is a £125 online valuation, which the insurance company may not accept, bearing in mind the policy is only £88 !!!
Bit stumped as to the point of this, they said if I don't get this in, they will only pay market value... now, the recent Landrover mag price guide (which I assume is reflective of some market value!?) puts the value HIGHER than what I wanted?!
Will ring the insurance and try and sort this out, besides cant get it out for updated photos as it is blocked in by an immobile blo@dy Alfasud!
I will keep you appraised of this riveting saga!!

Re: Insurance valuations
You don't need to get agreed value all it means is if the worst was to happen it is down to you to prove the value
Ie send them proof of what similar ones are selling for in owners mags and forecourts or adds
