Just got my car back from John at Justsuds.

He has expertly sorted out my rust problem.

Also repaired the sills and chassis rail.

My white S2 ti , LLB 329V has been a regular runner over the past few years......

but is now at Justsuds for some welding!

I did notice the driveshafts were missing on the underside shot!

I was going to remind you, but thought that wasn't necessary!

I had a near side drive shaft detach itself at the inner end a bit back.

Luckily at low speed.

Since then, I've used longer cap screws with nylocs .

But I have outboard brakes.

My 1980 (built late 79) Sud has foam.

I wondered if there was a way of dissolving it?

Petrol doesn't work!

Looking on Page 4, it seems the envirostrip process got rid of the foam inside the double skinned cross member?

What exactly is it that melts the foam?

Petrol doesn't touch it!

Is your fuel hose braided rubber?
If so, beware ethanol!

Looking at P3 of Alfastruts posts under Gallery, My sud project,
He seems to have done a very neat fabrication job.

I've tried several places for wing rails but no joy

I have zero welding skills and equipment.
A local mate is an amateur welder, but the job has grown too big for him.
I hope to get a regular welder out to look at the job.

The strut tops seem pretty solid.
Am I right in thinking the wing rails are non structural?

Simply, supports for the top of the wings?
