Hi folks Another project too many, has to go really, its not fair to the car to be hanging around outside after i awoke it from a 25 year slumber in a nice dry garage! Most of the details are here, https://ebay.us/m/S97YZt but of course if you want many more detials, pictures or a viewing, just give...

Re: Here we go again!

I'm pretty sure I've not got a loom in the spares shed.

A lot of other stuff, glad I didn't sell everything the moment the Sud went!

Re: Here we go again!

This will be the fourth 33 I've had in the same colour, and I don't even like it!

Yes, the last 33 i owned was a 16v qv sportwagon, kinda wish I'd kept that one in reality, I love the sportwagons.

Might have to enquire about that spolier lou, is it a S3 cloverleaf one?

Here we go again!

Well, I sold the Alfasud a short while ago, and said to myself, and others, 'that's me probably done with the boxer engined era cars'

Good job even I don't listen to myself,

I just bought this!

Re: I think its time...

Thank you Tim

The Sud has since found a new owner, deposit taken and its up to me to start digging everything out!

This will very likely mark the end of my boxer era, so there should be lots of bits n pieces showing up soon too!

I think its time...

Hi all After long consideration, and a few conversations, i think its time that i make a decision on the Fast Road/Track sud that ive been sitting on for far too long now. As some of you may recall, the Sud was built by Kev in preparation for the forum meet and track day we did at Cadwell Park, and ...

It all seems lightening fast and smooth compared to before the faults and issues, which is nice to see and feel a benefit that is real to all users, but thats nothing compared to the differences in the background. Re: PLEASE REPLY TO POST IF YOU CAN LOG IN!

Hi again It does seem that the trick to access the main forum functions again is to clear your browser data history and cache, this prevents your browser from attempting to access the webpage by using a previous, and now unsuccessful, shortcut. clearing your cache seems to work for most folk so far....

Thanks for the replies everyone. Were not out of the woods just yet, and our webspace providers are hard at it too in the background, there are still issues especially for us on the website and maintenance side but it does appear to letting folk in again, all be it not 100% reliably and as it should...

Hi mate

Its certainly behaving itself better than before, but the acp and some login's are still awkward.

However, not being entirely dead in the water is a huge move forward, so for that I am very very grateful.

Re: Anyone got a 1500 block?

If there are a good source of 1700 parts available, you could build the 1600cc screamer?

Most who did it, liked it, and i'm sure LouLou can probably explain it and supply it!

Re: VFV 784Y

Hi Lou That car ended up near me in Nottingham, i spotted it at the guys business which is near the Notts County FC Ground, and wandered over for a chat. I can't remember his name now, but a nice guy, also had a 33 too if i recall correctly that he wanted some spares off me at for at some point. I s...

Well, I can't really add anything to that Kev, perfect summing up of the status quo. For those who feel so inclined, it is best if donations can be made by PayPal, as that's how I currently fund the running and maintenance costs of the site, forum and care package. Please use the following PayPal ad...

Re: Exhaust oil smoke

As a quick rule, oil smoke on the throttle is combustion chamber leak by, ie oil scavenge and or piston rings, worn bore etc, But off the throttle smoke, or immediately following a gear change, or idle at lights, junction etc you get a small cloud clearance pulling away, is usually valve stem seals,...

F399 KRR, anyone know of its existence?

Hi all

A close friend of mine is interested to know if his old 75 3.0 V6 is still in circulation, and even if its available for him to own again.

Does anyone know if this black beauty is still about?

Thanks in advance

Re: Any takers on my 33?

Things are pressing a little in the space department, so this summer I could really do with seeing this one sold.

I'm paying for storage for another car and need the space back, something has to give so are their any interested parties here?

Suggestions welcome...

Thanks

Re: Getting rid of paint/powder coat without blasting

There are no "paint strippers" available over the counter that will strip a powder coat. The best we have in the UK is probably Langolds, way better than even the original nitromors of old, but still useless against a powder coat I'm afraid. Across the pond, use "Aircraft Stripper&quo...
