SUPER SOLID 33 SERIES 3 1712CC 8V IE

Post by PETROLHEAD »

Hi folks

Another project too many, has to go really, its not fair to the car to be hanging around outside after i awoke it from a 25 year slumber in a nice dry garage!

Most of the details are here,

https://ebay.us/m/S97YZt

but of course if you want many more detials, pictures or a viewing, just give me a holla 07875749472

It is, THE best series 3 shell and body i have ever owned, and for those who know me thats a lot of 33's, it seriously rerquires no welding, floor, sill, jack point etc repairs whatsoever, it is, a pretty remarkable survivor.

Not perfect of course, it is 35 years old and was taken off the road for a reason, but has the makings of a very easily recommissioned and restored daily driver, and remaining one of the best 33's out there.

With only 55k miles on it, the interior and mechanicals are similarly in great order, and it really wouldn't take much for mot and use as is if you wanted to get her on the road sharpish once up and running properly.

My plans, advernturous as usual, were to use this as a basis for a really strong 16v QV conversion, seeing as i have a new 16v motor, some hot carbs, manifolds, filters, omex 100, plus QV side skirts, some tasty wheels, a set of sports springs etc, plus John at Justsuds has a choice of recaro interior and seats etc. These can, (possibly) be negotiated for separately.

I also have a pair timing belts, fuel filter, gasket set to go with the car already for whatever price is achieved or agreed.

For anyone wanting to see it, the car is near Newark, Nottinghamshire, just off the main A1 and very easy to get too.

Just remember the ebay auction goes off next saturday, so either bid quickly or get in touch asap for a more direct agreement and sale.

I'm a little unsure of the value if truth be known, i am certainly open to suggestions and offers, but its solid condition will save thousand of pounds in repair bills for a typical 33, and i'm counting on that to make me a healthy return for what will make a great car.

Thanks for looking.....
