Re: Sprint Veloce drum brake clip

Thanks for the offer John. But I have now ordered a pair of replacement adjusters off ebay. They are a different design but should fit. If not I will be in touch.
Interested to hear that they are usually missing. I thought I had somehow lost the part. Perhaps not.

Re: Sprint Veloce drum brake clip

Its not easy to spot. It sits horizontally below the toothed adjuster cog in the top left of the photo. But you can only see the upturned silver edge engauging the toothed cog. The photo on ebay of a clean new setup is very useful, so thanks for finding that as i missed it.

Sprint Veloce drum brake clip

After pulling apart the siezed rear right drum brake. I can't find the small clip from the self adjusting mechanism. I presume Alfa 33's with drum brakes are the same. I have attached a photo of the one from the left brake which must be a mirror image of the missing part. Does anyone have one in the...

I don't think the car feels right with poly bushes either. Also, as the poly bush itself doesn't twist, the securing bolts tend to work loose.

I bought a set from Sudshop who have had some made to the original spec. I have not fitted them yet as I have been busy rebuilding what must be the worlds rustiest MX5 NB. And people say Alfas rust!
I will try and post a link that works.

Just read on a local news website that Tesco's are supplied by Esso, so presumably Tesco's E5 is ethanol free. Although I don't suppose that will be for long.

Steering wheel adjuster knob

Yes my knob has split in half. My car mad grandson ( can't think where he gets it from)likes to sit in my cars and fiddle with everything. Unfortunately he has overtightened the clamping knob which secured the angle of the steering wheel and split it. The car is an early 1976 Ti. Has anyone got spare?

I have nothing to add as I agree 100% with all thats been said here and also plan to keep the cars I have for ever. But if someone put a gun to my head and forced me to buy a new car, it would be either an MX5 or Toyota 86GT.

I bought a split screen camper van once as it was cheep and I thought it might come in useful when I was still single and living at home. Re: Been a bit quiet lately

Having retired recently I can't say all this covid business has had much affect on me, and as long as I don't catch it, I am quite happy plodding on with my cars which have been waiting patiently for years, until I had the time to fix them. After spending the summer repairing the 75 and getting the ...

But didn't they drop the "Milano" from the badge on the Sud as it was made in Naples. so a more modern 'Milano' free badge may not be so attractive but more appropriate.

I bought one when they first became available at a sensible price and before the pound dropped sharply after the Brexit vote. I can vouch for the quality if you can't find a cheaper replacement and its probably made of a better quality metal than the original.

Definitely bonkers. I was going to rebuild all the brake callipers on my 1976 Ti to get it on the road, but from next March I won't need too even though it has almost no brakes ! It will still be illegal to drive a vehicle which is not roadworthy but who will know until you have an accident. However...

Will plastic sump plugs be able to survive the cycle of heating and then freezing when the engine is off during cold weather for long, before they crack? As for modern technology.
