Series 2 rear valence panel

I recently started a nut and bolt restoration of my 78 Alfasud Super which is a 29K miles car that has been owned in my family since new. Car has a very good shell and mint interior, but needs a comprehensive refurbishment of the paintwork and mechanicals to get it back on the road after being in storage for over 20 years.

I have recently been searching for a rear valence panel without much success. So far only found a rather rusty one in Italy for Euro 135!

Wondered if anyone on the Forum had a series 2 rear valence they might be willing to sell - or know where I might be able to purchase one? Any ideas/leads gratefully received.

The one on my car has been pushed in when the car was reversed into a low wall by my Grandfather (the first owner) sometime in the dim and distant past. Unfortunately, it is full of filler and apparently not easily repairable to a decent standard according to the body shop who are refurbishing the shell. Accordingly, they want me to try and locate a new panel.

Here is the Super being dismantled:

I will post further updates and pictures as the project progresses.

I have now found out where to purchase the series 2 rear valence panel.
The German supplier Hackner has this part for Euro 159.00 + Euro 27.50 post to UK. Not cheap I know, but the only place I have found these panels ex stock if anyone needs them. They also have NOS lower front valence and series 1/2 boot lid panels.

See:

S2 rear valence: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Alfa-Heckblech-A ... 58a1bb9b66
S1/S2 lower front valence: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Alfa-Heckblech-A ... 58a1bb9b66
Boot lid: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Alfa-Heckblech-A ... 58a1bb9b66

Thanks to other forum members who came up with suggestions where to find this part.

This German supplier has quality stuff and they do have the first series (with exhaust cut-out) and second series (without exhaust cut-out) on stock. Also their delivery was swift and of excellent quality. As you pointed out most probably not the cheapest solution but definitely a good quality solution. The fit of these parts is very good.

Good luck on your project, looking forward to see the progress.
