Black & White gotta go

Well, fresh(ish) back from my stag holiday with the naughty boys, and straight back at it!

My old series 3 Ti, the black and white one, was briefly owned and kept elsewhere, with the intent of being restored to much greater glories than languishing in my garage que of projects, but sadly this is not to be, as the investigations have revealed more work than first thought, and with time, money and property constraints, the project has been decided against.

So it is back with me, but to compound matters, in the cars brief absence its normal parking space has been filled, and so it really is a crunch time very shortly.

The car is partially dismantled and ready to be worked on, but is still a rolling steering shell (sat on wheels that Kev owns and will require back at some point) so convenient and free to push around easily.

It does have some extremely good redeeming features, including possibly the best doors, headlights, front panel, bonnet, tailgate, front wings, screens and glass etc found on a project of this age and nature. It is also "possibly"
a Ti-X, with working electric windows, but not sure and i've never thought of it as anything but a S3 Ti personally.
Historically we believe this was a Class E car from way back, and currently left on it are some nice front struts and sports springs. These can be either left on and included or negotiated in/out of the deal, as i will happily keep these for my own cars.

The work itself isn't too bad at all, and easily saved, which is exactly what i'd do if i had less of a que and more garage space, and i have taken many photo's to show as many nasty area's as i can get too.

see here for loads of shots.

The car is currently without the front seats, engine and gearbox, but gearbox's i have, and i can put my hands on a choice of engines if needs be.

The car can be transported easily and quickly.

I am keen to see this saved, it has been a great car for me in the past, but equally it has some great parts on it too.

I am open to offers, of cash, cars, parts etc

all sensible offers will be considered, but be quick! :D

Well sorts out a better shell and bits for the silver ti

Plus headlights etc from the silver ti for the black ti cloverleaf

So the plan is to weld the black ti cloverleaf from Richard and get it on the road. Then do a full resto on the silver ti cloverleaf

Are you picking up the Sud Shrew? It'll be good to meet the Sudmeister at long last if you are!

I wouldn't mind going to MITCAR but that's the day Chris is picking the Sud up. It's all go!

No the other ones in bits in a garage as I've been painting trim. Might be reassembled by Sunday!
