Just Thought I’d share this little
Mod. Have you ever noticed that Over time the centre engine mount can Start to slide it’s way out. ‘This is due to
torque reaction Under hard acceleration. To combat this I carry out a small modification that includes drilling a small hole and tapping It M6
Then screw in a 10mm M6 bolt so that the bolt just digs into the Hard plastic outer case of the rubber mounting . This offers just enough bite to prevent the mounting moving .

Would it be worth having 2 fixings 180 deg opposite?

It was a problem We came across quite often. Normally on cars driven by the more “spirited” of drivers. As a result I’ve used this mod on all race cars That used std mtgs.
