Hi John
On the racer I just use some old seat belt webbing To act as drop straps. this Stops the axle dropping Far enough that the springs pop out
Simple but effective

Sorry no photo but from memory it drops down from the body and wraps Round the axle and then goes back up to the body.

So similar to a 105 then ? May well be pictures on Alfaholics web site that may assist you.

We used ratchet strap webbing (simply as we had some) on a 33 axle but looped under the axle and I think drilled the boot / rear floor to bolt it too with some big washers.

On my sprint 33 axle someone has used some strong wire, drilled holes in the top and bottom spring seats and strapped that way looping the wire, I’ll try and get a photo.

The ratchet strap webbing was the easiest , it was simple to remove when needed.

All makes sense now . Plus I've got some small ratchet straps that I can double up.
Perfect 8-)

The seat belts are easily strong enough, I used some before on the sud track car by just bolting it to the inner wing and the axle, folded double where bolted.

Funny story about strength of seat belts, well amused me anyway.

Neighbour of mine had the scrap man come to fetch a couple of cars of his. Astra didn't look that bad really so was surprised to see the usual scrappy method of a big strap through the car and lift it up with the hiab, too good to be scrapped I thought as was a runner.
Hah says me, how's he going to lift the mgf up with its fabric roof. How is he going to lift it actually :?:
To my surprise he simply looped his strap through both seat belts and lifted the whole car up! Thankfully it wasn't rotten enough to pull the belts out of the car!
