Just a quick one re electrical fault on Series 2 Sprint. Indicators, brake lights and horn not working. Checked continuity on fuses and seem ok and wondered if possibly a relay or something that linked all 3 ? Thank you

First thing I would be checking is the earth connections. I am having the same issue and have been told to re-do my earths by an autospark

I spent a winter checking, cleaning and replacing connections and earths. Quite amazing the improvement it makes.

Make sure you check the main return to body/chassis earth, just next to the battery against the engine firewall. I replaced the whole cable as it was quite frayed and oxidised. Really improved things. See photo.

Had this problem on the earth from the battery to the fire wall on my 'get it finished one day' Sprint. The earth had frayed so much inside the plastic sheath, that there were only a few strands left and it refused to start. It took me a week or two, in my spare time, to trace the problem.

Yeah, sounds just like mine was.

I also spent some time putting in a couple of extra earths, mainly from the headlamps. That really helped sort a few electrical oddities and prepared it for a bulb upgrade.
