Evening all
I'm having a clear out and have a complete(ish) 1700 engine. As you can see its an 8v hydraulic tappet engine code AR 30550. This puts it as being a 33 1.7 ☘
It has a flywheel but no clutch and I would recommend a strip clean and rebuild it was a carbed engine and ut has the manifolds and I can supply enough bits to build a linkage but no carbs ( would of been fitted with 40s ) I know some people are asking daft money for these . Make me an offer

Hi am looking for a 1.7 block. You say it just needs a strip and clean, does that mean the block internals are good and it doesn't need bearings or rings etc?

Have you heard it running?

Hi Col
I would of heard it run but it was many many yrs ago ( i stripped loads of 33s in the late 90s due to rust ) . I have no reason to believe theres anything wrong with it but i have to recomend its stripped and checked for piece of mind id personaly id always fit new shells as a matter of course and give the bores a good hone. This one doesnt look like its ever been apart so is unlikely to be anything but std on the mains or big ends.
If you only after a block i also have a 1.7 short motor ( block crank rods and pistons sump front and rear covers flywheel) ?

I'd need to ship it to the north east as well lou so it might well turn out to be a little rich for me considering it'll need a refresh as well

Sorry, col

Due to change of plans this engine is now still available. 1700 8v from a 33 GCL. turns over nicely and largely complete no cadbs or Dizzy but will include linkage
£400
