That is certainly unusual - I wonder what transmission is being used as the front wheels seem further forward relative to the engine than in Alfa.

I found it by accident, it came up on google images after I searched on an Alfa related topic.

Now that is an "Italian Job"! ha ha!
that would be an interesting drive!
i think it would have to be rear wheel drive with a P4 box and axle?
as you say, to be front wheel drive the car looks unnaturally set out, and is it just me, but the drivers seat looks as if it may have been pushed towards the door a tad further, possibly by the creation of a gearbox tunnel?
its a later 145 inlet plenum, but that doesn't mean anything, as i suspect it was used for its lower profile apparently compared to the rounded 33 versions.
i need to google more, but for gods sake don't google "boxer mini"
cute dogs aside, there are other images i would rather forget!

What a HOOT … a rear drive mini powered by Alfa boxer . Agree with Shrew regarding the logical use of P4 transmission . You could presumably bin the viscous coupling to make things a little easier regarding the propshaft mounting.
Looks like no rear seat and drivers seat def moved towards the door.
I've googled the hell out of this and come up with precisely nothing. This represents the work of a serious Alfa nutjob.
Most people would simply go down the route of the honda vtec fwd conversion etc .
It needs to be found and the individual responsible interrogated
I'm on the case

My sons godfather has a classic mini, Metro 1.3 engine, which he tweaked a bit ...
before I took apart my 1.5 Sprint for the restoration, he could beat me on a straight line !
Cant imagine what this would be like with a 16v 137 bhp engine
Should be scary !!!

Well, I did ! No shame in that !
If its any consolation , I was running on a cracked block and worn clutch, but still, those little buggers are quick !

No worries mate, I've got the seat adjusted just right :p
Seriously now, say no more. I've heard of Minis humiliating very fast cars !
