Hopefully I'm not using up all the forum storage, a few more photos from the loft.....circa 1991 and 1992 on circuit and approx 1995/6 for the paddock shots

had to do a double take on the 2nd pic mate, thought they'd all be alfa's but the shape looked distinctly lancia beta coupe

Last time I saw the Beta race it was blue, I think the driver's surname was Day.

It ran in the Auto Italia series and was very quick, probably mid nineties when I last saw it.

That was John Day's Beta - it was a quick car - though there was a lot of filler that went into creating those wider arches!

Yes, the Beta Coupe was John Day who was, to say the least, a character! He could be found at most meetings propping up the bar......allegedly!

Can't remember the box arched blue Sud though.....whose car was that?

The blue Sud at that time was Steve Molyneux?? I may have got that totally wrong.

must try and find all my old pics from the 80's when we used to go up to cadwell to watch the busy alfa races then call in at mountview motors in horncastle to drool over the alfas and lancias they had in stock as our local dealers

I reckon that was 1998 at Mallory Park - a great race with Dave T having a great dice with a 33....now who was it driving that? Bob something or other.............?

You're right, more like 1998 at Mallory not 1996, I remember that great race, a bunch of class A and B cars side by side down devils elbow lap after lap. The orange modified 33 would be Bob Godbold (Brunswick)?

I remember Bob nudging Dave into a half spin at Gerrards and Dave driving the nuts off the Sud to come back!

There was always a bit of needle when the two of them were racing.
