Loss of a true Alfasud enthusiast and dear friend.

Post by dralf1965 »

I am very sad to tell fellow Alfasud members that my dear friend Nik Lear from the Somerset Section of AROC has passed away, you may remember him for his warm smile and personality, and for his little Green Alfasud Ti series1 which was at Spring Alfa day last weekend, where he parked next to my blue one. I know that we both spoke to some of you last weekend. The Alfa World has lost a true Sud enthusiast and a true friend. If you have met Nik, you will know what a loss this is.

Oh my God what a shock !!
That was the first time I had met him when we were chatting. I even parked next to both your cars at the end of the day for a photo.
It was clear to someone who didn't know him how passionate he was about the cars.
Sorry for you loss and my condolences to you and his family.
Keith.

Since I don't the person it may be considered as slightly hypocrit to reply, however the loss of a family member or friend is a tragic thing. All the best to his family and friends dealing with the tragic loss.

So so sad to hear Nick Lear has passed away, condolences to his family and close friends.
I contacted and met Nick on a number of occasions and from that limited time, knew him to be a welcoming and open hearted man with a good soul.
Particularly remember the last Alfa gathering in Appledore both Nick Lear's and Nick G's alfasuds making quite a sight in the car park then the group driving onto Hartland Quay, great day.
Nick, you'll be greatly missed

Met Nick briefly just a couple of times,

Shelsley Walsh, 2010 where I admired his bonnie little green 'Sud and Ripon 2012, when he came without 'sud. Can honestly say from a very short time in his company that he was an exceptionally pleasant fella.

Its all been said already but very sorry to hear about this. Condolences to those close to him.
