They are hinging and awful lot on the mileage aren't they for that price?
For starters, it looks like a Tourismo base model, cloth seats, no bose, etc etc, and even admits that its not concourse but needs a little tlc!
a 156 of any model, owners or mileage would have to very very frikkin special to encourage me to part with any more than 2k in todays climate, and i bet as a stealer they don't have much invested in it at all.
I don't want to do it all down, it looks very nice, but 5k?
no thank you.
that said, its near me and if anyone would like me to go and inspect it on their behalf, just holla

I thought the interior looked too new. Like you Shrew, not putting it down, but my first 156 was a '99 on a "T" with Sun roof and no air con.

I did enjoy our 156, it was a 2 litre twinspark in silver - also with the high spoiler, which really obscured the rear view!

And, as we all know, there is one major flaw with the 156...... it isn't a 155!!!

Oh My Days!
As any other advert would testify, you can barely give a Q system semi auto away, of any mileage or condition, and yet again i suspect that the dealer, rather unappropriately "Vintage Treasures" has very little investment in it but is really attempting to capitalise on the mileage.
I love the 2.5 V6 24v engine, and the 10v 2.4 jtd too, but if i was to buy another 156, it would only be for 2k max, and only if it had all suspension renewed in the last 500 yards,
and it would have to be a minter too!
why is it a none facelift on a 2006 plate?
sat in a showroom for 5 years because they couldn't sell a Q system i suspect!

pretty sure the V6 didn't get the facelift for some reason....

I was kinda thinking that as i typed it, i suspect the 2.5 v6 was dropped from production pre facelift but unsold units hung around for some time whilst the last of the alfa v6 stuff phased out,
Sound feesible?
