916 GTV seats for a Sud?

Guys (and girls),
I am going to try the above for my 1984 Sud Gold Cloverleaf (5 door).
Any reason why I shouldn't?
I'm guessing I'll need adapter brackets for the rails on the front seats.
Any other red flags?
Cheers!

I've done mine, I just made a couple of brackets out of 5mm bar from memory, I'll get some photos done at the weekend, weather permitting !

The other bit I did as well was to use the GTV seatbelts so I could use the buckles that are integrated into the seat, that took a bit more work but I'll get the photos at the weekend for you.

Here's how I did mine. I just used some 5mm thick bar at the back:
Rear seat bar
Rear seat bar
and for the front I used some wider bar just drilled in the right places:
Front seat bar
Front seat bar
I wanted to keep it simple so it was easy to reverse if I want to. For the seatbelts I used the GTV one's but you need to get some brackets for the bottom 'loop' to go through:
Seatbelt Mount
Seatbelt Mount
Seatbelt mount 2
Seatbelt mount 2
The metal bars were from a Nissan Micra ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-MICRA- ... 4179391951

I used a spare set of Sud mounting brackets for the seatbelt reels and put a small bolt through to keep the reel in the right place, you can just see it in the last photo.

Just need to vacuum the car properly now and refit the plastic covers !

Fantastic thanks for that.
I have a few 166 seat belts etc.
I might see if that would work....

Took out Sud seats and 'rested' GTV seats in to have a look.
Also lifted carpets, a little welding will be required (surprise, surprise!)

I was lazy and didn't check the fit of the bolts etc.
There appear to be two holes up the front of the front seats....
There will be headwreck but the fronts are very comfortable in a firm way so I do think it's worth the 'problem solving!'
The earlier post re the bars etc is very helpful.
I think the rears will be more trouble to be honest.
Progress will be slow but I will update... :D

Looks good, I'll be very interested to see if you manage to get the rears done. I didn't really investigate that but it would be good if it's possible.

Fitment looks great ! But they are a bit too modern IMHO for the Sud

I did it without quite as much faff.

M8 Rivnuts, drilled into the floor and tack welded above to hold in place. Allows you to use the GTV seats with no complicated farting about, and also keeps the existing Sud mounting points in place just in case . . .

Sounds good Stesco.
I've decided against the GTV rears due to size.
Probably go with 156 ones....

No worries, i'd rather see someone just use something from them, otherwise its bonfire time!
