Hi all (thanks for asking Phil :P )

well, i'm back to my lightening 2 fingered typing, so that's a start! lol!

actually, it is certainly heading in the right direction, and i'm pleased to report that i think i've escaped going under the knife for a third time, so that's a relief to begin with.

The overall prognosis is that the tendon repairs are still present, but are being restricted by the scar tissue build up, so the current "lagging" of the index finger and lack of general strength in that hand is stemming from that we believe.

The physioterrorists have me on a pretty mean n keen regime, still insisting i wear the splint 23 hours a day, and lots of the prescribed exercises in the hours freedom from the splint i get!

Of course, the orders are still no working of the hand, that will remain into the new year, but bugger that, i'm going stir crazy as it is, and trust me, being skint at this time of year is no picnic either, so im starting to do little bits, and considering it exercise! :D

I know that this is potentially foolhardy practice, again, but i'd challenge anyone else to do any different in my position :?:

Hi Shrew. Whilst your still on the mend I thought this would amuse you and fit your thread.

I think it comes under the do not do this at home !

Just ensuring the tank is bone dry before sealing it internally. What fun. ;)

Now, now Shrew, your meant to have learn from your experience and not condone such foolishness. ;)

Was looking at a Sprint the other and ended up talking about a chap who had a similar cut to his hand in Australia. Two days later passed out,

woke up surprised two weeks later surrounded by family from as far as UK. He had been expected to die the week before. Blood poisoning !

On that basis you did okay ! :D
