I have scraped off the bitumen from one side and it weighs 2.85KG.
The battery I removed was 11kg
The racing one going in is 5.5kg.

Achtung.

New seat, new straps, racing battery, fire extinguisher and cut off switch in.
Catch tank and rev limiter fitted.
New filter and engine oil. High temp brake fluid and disc cooling fitted.
20mm wheel spacers and new Dunlop Direzza tyres.
Big rear view mirror to check out what Ian is doing :D

Hi Simon,looks like you've been working hard on the Golf,my favourite mod is the mirror cos I wouldn't want you to get in my way when I come up to lap you! :lol:
Sadly I won't be at Snetterton to do that & I won't be at Thruxton either :( as I am facing an uncertain employment situation.
Enjoy Snetterton,obviously I hope Malcolm spanks you in the Sprint :) The Sud & I will be back next year I hope & we will take that nice bottle of red off you!
