I closed my AO account yesterday, I havn't used it for months but thought it would be good to close it and leave 'em a few comments in the 'reasons why box', as some of you know I trade in new old stock car parts as a job so any alfa parts sales will get a heads up to this site to help so that in time it should become the main site for classic alfas

As far as I'm concerned ... what happens or happened previously on AO .. stays on AO .. .. I cant be doing with childish retorts and behaviour .. with this and that .. its done with now and has been for months .. time to move on I reckon ...

I will use AO .. and will not be drawn into any tit for tat ....

get posting in a positive way not negative ...

I will say this ...

any negativity leave at the door

I have seen other new sites become baron because of negativity ..... would hate to see the same happen here ....

all of your for sale parts are most welcome in our for sale section mate, feel free (literally) to list anyhting relevant to the cause.
we welcome any alfa type parts for sale as it keeps us all going with hard to find parts and sellers get a few quid back and space in the shed again

and no harm in mentioning AO, we all know what the situation degraded into but it was all good in the end, prompted shrew and myself to create this forum.

I'd like to recreate my ao account and go back there,

so I can piss them off once again

and give them the satisfaction of banning me, so I can go on again with a different IP address and details so I can piss them off allover again

Joe, thanks for the advice but I will say what I like......

AO does have its uses I suppose: what are the best tyre pressures for best fuel economy, what air fresheners last longest, leather cream discussions and things like.... 'my headlamp bulb has blown again!!' (oh dear!) or 'I think I saw you this morning but you didn't wave' (oh dear!)

But I will say this.....

As far as understanding the need for owners to exchange technical information & knowledge and sharing/trading parts to keep older Alfas on the road there a bunch of muppits!!

that was our whole argument mate with them, which went unheard/appreciated over an 18 month period of trying to get things changed

in the end it was just easier to do our own thing

Judging from their lack of interest, care and enthusiasm, for the former "Boxer Lounge" i suspect they're really not bothered i'm afraid Chris.

However, when the ModernAlfaForum.com gets going under Joe and JB's guidance, i feel they will feel the pinch a little harder, particularly when those members come across to a friendly and FREE OF CHARGE common sensical sort of forum.
