I'm a frayed knot... like you I KNOW I have seen those lights before, but I can't place it. Tried some other avenues, like the Lombardi FL1, Nissan AD1, still no joy. Rainbow is still the closest match in terms of proportion and style, but it isn't the Rainbow.
Those plugs look really weird, but it's got to be mid-engined hasn't it?
This is really bugging me now!

No it is not one of them Bryan, I will be honest I didn't know what a Trident Iceni was.
Good old Google.
This should help.

Well done. A very crazy car that worked from some angles but not others.
The museum was a good visit and enhanced as it had a Ferrari exhibition (some other Italian firm I believe) on at the same time.
The only thing to watch out for is of course they close at 12 noon for a long lunch. You have to admire them after all the years I spent hunched over paperwork with a sarnie.

Man, that is one ugly car, amazing how the promise of wide wheels and a mid-mounted engine can lead you astray!

But I LOVE the interior!

Well, you got me good there Junior!

Oddly the car looked great from the front and the back in my eyes.
It would just be something to turn up in though whether you liked it or not as it would turn heads like nothing else.
Glad it gave you something to think about.
Had to crop the picture well as through the screen you can see the bonnet of a Bagheera with Matra on it.
This is the one I liked best. Owned by the son of the founder

It has a touch of the Alpine A110 about it.

Matra Bonnet Djet?
I saw a nice example at Goodwood a few years back. The C-pillar air intake grilles were formed out of the Matra company logo, which is like the Star Trek Federation symbol on its side - very nice.
SAAB always used to go on about their aircraft heritage, but I think Matra put far more aerospace thinking into their cars, particularly racing models.

Hi Yes that is what it is, I could not recall what it was called.
I liked the whole fit of the car, the wheels and sparse interior all seemed to go together rather well. Funny when there was a lot of Ferraris there to look around and the one car you fancy just taking a spin down the country lanes is one of the cheapest cars there.

Build plate says Lancia Aurelia, but seeing as the engine is a V6 I had sort of got that far on my own...

certainly looks like a B20GT unless it's an obscure one to catch me out.......i'm not all that good at this game, even on lancia!
the worlds first production V6 no less
beautifully engineered.
i may even know where there is one awaiting me to win the lottery..........

A smashing car, very desirable. Shared a Fulvia for a few years and great fun. Amazing in deep snow, did better than a mates landrover.
This next posting is a bit different, but interesting. But I forgot what it was and wondered if anyone new. On a camp site in the Swiss mountains.

. I bet it was expensive what ever it is.
