Not me. If money and time was no problem, I would want to bid just to save the poor thing but the realist in me (and my Mrs!) tells me that it's too much money as it stands.
This is clearly not just a simple recommissioning job. Although almost all parts can be found, albeit some on the expensive side, I'm afraid my credit card just wouldn't be able to stand it!

+1 - I don’t even know anyone within a 100mile radius of me who would be prepared to do or would be skilled enough to do that much welding.

I hope it doesn't get broken. As someone pointed out, complete cars are getting rare.

Jeez. Beer goggles or pink-tainted specs required.
Having said that, it needs saving so respect to the new owner.

If people are prepared to pay £10k plus for a VGC sud.......
Then a purchase price of £3k ish seems ok?

It may end up being re listed if the new owner realises once they start digging it is too much work for them.
I remember that happening with my car. I watched, and watched. Then regretted when it was sold, then the new buyer decided it was too much for him and relisted it a few months later. That time I didn't hang around.

The problem with breaking a sud ti for spares these days is there are so few on the road, one isn’t appealing to a volume market. The parts I’ve encountered that are rare so far with my sprint are front engine mounts, control arms and headlamps and there seems to be a solution for control arms. I accept glass can be an issue. That sud will only yield one front engine mount to sell and while it will have many valuable parts like carbs, most will need rebuilding to be valuable. The real big value is a solid shell. People sell Bertone restored shells for tremendous money and Rhd suds are probably going the same way.

Better ring the insurance, and put the agreed value up!
I'm with Footman James, and they don't bat an eyelid if I ask to increase the value.
Just charge me an admin fee of course.

It’s probably not as well to speculate- they may turn up on here shortly and will need to be offered sweet tea and biscuits

Having said that there are not many Sud ‘Ti’s around. Even if you go in the European sites there are hardly any Ti’s around - sprints and saloons yes. I’d you want a Ti this is maybe what you have to do..

I’ve just looked on Reezocar - the pan European car sales site and there are 100 suds for sale. Mostly sprints and sud saloons. There are 3 ‘‘tis and a racer starting at €10ish and going through to €60k for what looks to be a fully restored or v low mileage series 1 ti ( I think) in Germany.

Voila
