alfas racing at cadwell this weekend, the BLS 33 will be there and with the new engine mods may well be even closer to the sharp end, or maybe an outright win again.....
http://www.brscc.co.uk/assets/timetable ... e-3(1).pdf
shrew is there already doing guard duty, rob and me don't fancy a tent this year so will be along for the alfa races.
pop along and see tom & bryan, they are a really friendly bunch so don't be shy if you've not met them before.

Anyone been following/watching the LM 24hrs? The GT racing is about the only racing I am interested in, I was disappointed to see the Audis win again, I was hoping Porsche might pull it off but not to be in the end, it was full of twists and turns as usual especially towards the end with cars stopping to reset electrical systems, turbos blowing etc. Nice to see Ligier back and doing very well in their class and Ferrari also. I have to say though that those Hybrid cars sound awful, if that is progress I'm glad I'm stuck in the past....

Bring back the V12 Matra!!

spent most of the weekend glued to it mate, although i've long since given up trying to keep awake through the night
was a great race, a real shame the toyota went out in the night but the prospect of weber in the porsche kept thinsg interesting....for a time.
at least they don't sound as bad as F1 cars

Agreed, they sound like OAP mobility scooters on the 7MPH setting mate....
For me it has to be a V12 1970's era petrol, non turbo and running on Carbs.

That's good news ! - went to Silverstone on Sunday and had a great day, - but it's not a good circuit for spectators, and I felt like they ( Silverstone ) were taking the p*ss a little, £75 to get in, - and that was advance price, don't know what on the day was, and £17 to park ! - on the day parking price was £27 !!!! - and I got a parking ticket because of their crap system, so spent some of Monday morning sorting it out.

rob & me went to silverstone for casey stoners last brit gp but i wouldn't go back again, too expensive and not enough atmosphere for me mate.
was tempted though this year, until i saw the prices and that now i struggle to get rob in as under 13, he is 16 and left school now i guess
then that they were going to charge to park also convinced me to watch on the tv
donny will be better, if they finally get some turf laid on the infield....
have you seen the proposed wales gp circuit?
hope that doesn't turn out to be another "donnington f1 gp" saga......

Just catching up on this and obviously I have to agree about the sound of a V12 on carbs (see pic of my latest build...) - but weren't all the F1 engines running fuel injection from the mid 60's?
