I do like some of the Chemical Brothers stuff mate, when the mood takes I can listen for hours.

Arcade Fire are up there with my "go to" fav list, Creature Comforts is a great track off the latest album.
I still kick myself for missing them do a little gig at Scunthorpe last year, know they're doing a stadium tour this year but I'd prefer a smaller venue.

That is what music is all about.
You don't have to like every song a band does even if you like a lot of their material.
Always regret not getting to see this band in the day.

Actually heard Simon Mayo play Tears For Fears tonight on the way home, another of the bands I'd have loved to have seen live in the 80's. I actually wanted to be Curt Smith so much I had a permed fringe and shaved sides......believe it or not!

This for me is THE best TFF track ever....Oleta Adams has such a spine tingling voice.

The number of episodes in my archive peaked at 1979/1980. They are on to 1985 now and for me its generally quiet but there have been one or two notable exceptions - like Killing Jokes "Love Like Blood", I love that big semi-acoustic distortion guitar sound, very redolent of the era...

Good shout re the TOTP shows Lauren, must check more of them out, often watch them when I remember. Get some great old performances on there, even if some are very dubious mime!

Now you are talking Lauren, He did look odd on that TOTP performance. His body looked too small for his head , do love the song though.

You have to remember, this is the guy that moved to Iceland to avoid the imminent apocalypse, so he must have had some demons to deal with. Thankfully the world carried on, Jaz came back to Blighty and now produces film scores and classical rock music...

I’m a huge OMD fan, followed them since they started back in the late 70’s. Seen them a couple of times over the last few years in the RoundHouse Camden. Some of our friends are also huge fans and are going up to Glasgow just to see them!

The History of Modern was their come back/reform album, they’ve released a few more since....great live and still very 80’s!

Still discovering LCD Soundsystem...quite a varied sound they produce...
