Sadly at the moment i'm stuck with the bodyshop radio permanently tuned to Capital FM, which somehow gets away with the same loop of 20 terrible records for 6 months at a time.

Even worse is that i have subliminally learnt the words to the shaggy back catalogue, and all manner of ppi claim adverts etc.

Good job i can make it funnier by replacing many of the terrible lyrics with my own mucher betterer warblings!

With the breaking and incredibly sad news that we have lost Chris Cornell, I've simply had to immerse myself into my Soundgarden back catalogue once more.

A thoroughly depressing day for any fans of the man, a brilliant writer, unique vocal, and with all his bands a noise of their own.

Had a crazy night last night. Went to see Sasha in concert with a string section and all the electronic wizardry at the Barbican London . Place turned into a rave. Nuts. then on to the after show party at fabric night club on Sunday night the security to get in . Well it would have been easier to get a bomb on a plane . Crazy but an amazing night but I'm broken now

Also I've always quite liked The Proclaimers, great harmonies from the Brothers Some of it makes me laugh, although some of it is technically impressive.
Take this track, quite a funny one to start off with but wow, what technique for the last 3 minutes to repeat "I love her" which they say was recorded singing live without resorting to a looped recording, all at the first take...

These Sisters just have the most jaw dropping harmonies, first heard them one Winter down the shed whilst building VJM's engine, must have been 10+ years ago, haunting voices.

It doesn't matter what i "try" to listen to, thats all thats possible to hear!

since my middle lad Niall has had some decent pioneer dj decks, i made the mistake of also supplying him with an amp, and building him a bedroom booth of sorts around some floor standing speakers etc

Its not a monstrous set up, but even a few hundred quality watts in a 3 bed semi, of seemingly nothing but bass hertz on a loop, is enough to eventually put your nerves on edge!


I can't deny that I actually quite like it, i was young once too, driving my parents similarly bonkers with some crazy homemade speakers and such, and i still like some decent dance music too,

Just disappointed that i cant jump like the youngun's today, still not sure what that's about,

It's not like a mosh pit is it, which made perfect sense!
