Classic 156 for sale

Post by Kegsti66 »

Hi Guys, Just a post to to see if anyone is interested in my lovely old 156 jtd.
A tough decision to be made but after 8+ years of ownership a younger car is needed.
She has been such a reliable car and well treated.
I have just got a fresh MOT on her, four new quality tyres last November along with front brake pads.
Grooved and drilled discs fitted, and upper wishbones replaced just over a year ago.
Still has a very clean and fresh looking interior.
New clutch kit fitted by Autolusso at 98,000 miles, not through wear, but leaking crank seal (obviously replaced) so shows she has not been abused.
As with any old car, she has a few bumps and scrapes. Both rear doors have a dink in them, and the bonnet has a couple, plus a rusty scab.
Floor pan is solid but over all, still looks nice.
Known problems are the variable intermittent wiper speed can no longer be adjusted, and the front passenger window will not close using the drivers side switch. So to close it you have to use the passenger side door switch. I have a spare control panel from a lusso but have not changed the switch over as the wiring is slightly different.
The other thing is no key operations work as the alarm was removed due to a fault.
Mileage is 139,265 . I can account for 92,000 of them. I changed the oil and filter every 6,000 miles.
I am open to offers around £750.

I will take her to Spring Alfa Day next weekend if anyone is going and fancies a look.

CAR NOW SOLD :D

Thanks for looking
Keith.
