Anyone interested in a group buy on one of these for what I think is sensible money around 1200
Company is called Allen crankshaft just outside Wolverhampton
They were the first company in the UK to produce a stroked crank taking the 1186 to 1582 back in 1976.
Let me know if anyone is. Going to see them early next week

Re: 67.2mm steel crank
Had a good look round their workshop.
They have some nice kit
It's no showroom.but they know what they are on about
Showed me the cad 3d drawing that they already have for a boxer crank
Said they can do any stroke you want.
also prepared to discuss modifying journal sizes to use more readily available shells
Id suggest ringing Nash to discuss your requirements
Can also supply Saenz conrods.
Deal he would offer was £1800 all in for a crank and set of Saenz rods, lead time of 12wks
I've had a slight change of plan so I'm not going ahead with this now but I will be in a few months

So steel crank with modified journals(perhaps lightly smaller diameter, larger width) without rods ist about 1200... ?
Sounds great..

Re: 67.2mm steel crank
As a comparison when I spoke to Arrow last week they wanted £1500 to design the crank ( baring in mind they do Adies cranks) and then an extra £4000 for the actual crank!!!
Seemed to be someone you could work with
