Complete 1700cc engine and a spare longblock

Hi all,

I appreciate that a first post on a forum shouldn't be to sell something, however I purchased a load of old aircooled VW parts recently (old VW's are my thing) and with the lot there were two Alfasud engines. One is complete,minus exhaust. Ive been told the engine was running when taken out of the Alfa a couple of years ago and has been turned over by hand regularly. Comes with electrics and cam covers. The second is just a longblock that will need complete stripdown.

There is also a brand new starter motor there.

As I say, apologies for possibly breaking the 1st post rule, its just being a classic car enthusiast myself, id rather offer it to fellow enthusiasts first before the dreaded Ebay gets them.

They are due to arrive to me next week, so will check codes etc and get pics or any other info for anyone interested.

But surely the Alfa stuff you should keep and rid yourself of the VW bits

Your probably right, there is also an adapter plate to mate the engine to a VW box, but got far to many toys, these have got to go. (She said!)

Apologies, forgot to mention that. I'm in Bexleyheath in Kent/London 10 mins from Dartford bridge

The blocks will have an 84 or 87 cast in them towards the head, can't remember which side, poss passenger side.

84 is 1500, 87 is 1700
