Sorry all, just realised this isn't going to work because this page is a closed group. Doh

I cant be doing with those fb groups, i was on a couple previously but the relentless notifications on my phone just became annoying.

My phone would be dead by dinner time just because someone couldnt find their car key! :D

I do not understand what you mean by that. What makes you see this as a closed group ? Am I missing something. :?

It simply means that you cannot contribute until you are allowed to join up, and i believe some groups go further by not being publicly shared, only the group members can view, read, comment etc

I think! :?

It was on a site for pre '94 cars you don't often see. My little Sud ended up with 500+ likes and not one mention of rust.

Aha, I see. We are different generations. Sorry but I have absolutely no interest in `likes' and a few comments about rust bother me little.

They all rusted in the 70's all the way up to Bentleys. One of the reasons I was into motorbikes.

I do find on this site common sense and help with my restoration, where as my friend showed me FB comments on a winch I was restoring and the same incorrect information was repeated over and over again.

Which was appalling as the manufacturer used to supply the winch with a simple and clear handbook covering the same points.

Perhaps we should run a thread on why we bought our suds. It might show out diversity.
