Another S2
Here is another opportunity.
Where does he find them.
Also worth noting his new spares stash.

It's a great find and the kind of ownership background that is ideal. Someone somewhere will be talking themselves into taking on this project...wouldn't blame them either lol
Re: Another S2
I agree, the interior looks great.
Re: Another S2
Hi Keith,
You should take on the project yourself. You know that you want to do it really, you just need a little bit of encouragement. Go on lad you can do it.
Cathal.

Cheers mate, it would make a dream garage wouldn't it? It is the colour mine was originally.
I don't have the space to do another project like this one. It would be great to have.
I don't know where Peter finds all this stuff.
Hope someone here takes it on.

Re: Another S2
Very nice especially with all the included original documentation. What an extremely wierd interior colour, as far as I know the S2 ti's were only equipped with black seats with dark grey middle sections. Is this peculiar brown/tan colour unique to the UK?

My brother years ago had a series2 ti in the same colour with same colour interior.
I also has a metallic green sud tis with same colour seats in that car too.
I regrettably broke that car up which is a shame as they were quite a rare model.

I came across the S2 and wanted to acquire it myself as I knew what a rare thing it was and that it was very much worth saving but wifey wouldn't let me. I've got too many other projects on the go she said. She's probably right to be honest so I put the word out and Peter was first in for it.
I happen to know that Peter went over to Greece for the body panels and they're all in excellent condition. When I asked him he said that he would be offering them for sale soon at less money than you might expect.

Re: Another S2
Damn....
Re: Another S2
I thought someone had won it on ebay?
Maybe they didn't pay up?
Or maybe a bit of dodgy bidding had gone on.
Being old fashioned, I only buy bits and bobs on ebay, but a regular ebayer told me, that some sellers get friends to bid items up!
Probably against ebay rules, I think?

Must have felt uncomfortable as most of us do not like to be caught out.

Re: Another S2
Its called "Shill" bidding
I'm not saying its what occured here, but what a lot of folk do is advertise without any reserve price, because its a more attractive and cheaper listing fee, but then have another account or a friend on standby to bang a bid ijn that must be beaten in order to sell the car successfully.
If the friends bid isn't beaten, then it appears that the car sold cheap, unless its relisted and reappears again, sometimes under a different style of advert. The two accounts, buyer and seller, then decide to cancel the transaction for some innocuous reason, "my neighbours newts funeral is when i wanted to collect the car, therefore i cant complete the transaction!"
and all is good in the world, neither party can be blamed for backing out or not completeing, and have no strike upon their acount.
It happens all the time, and its very annoting when you watch and hope to try and buy something for a week or more that you have no chance in hell of in reality
but i repeat, i'm not saying that was what happened here
