Inboard Brake Upgrade

Post by PETROLHEAD »

Here we have a set of original front calipers that are modified to accept large twin vented discs for a huge front brake upgrade.

These were built by BLS, handbrake eliminated and lots of brake effort, and will take typical 22mm twin vented discs or slightly larger.

Always a good idea for those that don't have quite the budget for aftermarket calipers, and good enough to race with as was the practice back then :D

Needs the dust seals replacing ideally for road use but not essential up on the gearbox really, but they are ready to simply bolt on and use.

Oh i remember, yes, the AP discs wasn't it.

Same set up yes mate. This is how the likes of Ted, Bryan and many others raced suds back in the day.

In some ways it was still better to keep the inboard arrangements and the lightweight hub and wheels, than to weigh down the suspension with more to do with brakes that still weren't night and day improvement :P

If it wasn't for having such lightweight Alcons from Bryan, i'd be seriously considering using these myself!
