hi
I recently purchased a 1750 GTV that has been standing for the past 12 years. The car is turning over but very slowly as though the battery is on the way out. I've tried a new battery but get the same response. The Battery earth to the car is good and the gear box earth is good. is this the symptom of a failing starter motor. Do I need to remove the carbs to get to the starter ?
thanks
1750 GTV slow turning over
Re: 1750 GTV slow turning over
could well be a tired starter, no idea on access though as haven't worked on one of those before.
Giulietta JTD 170
Lancia Delta integrale
Lancia Flavia coupe 1.8 1963
Lancia Dedra turbo
Renault Clio 197 RS
I'm bad with people things
But I should have tried more

Hoping not to insult you, but have you checked that the engine turns over easily manually ?
Even if you have to take the plugs out it would be an easy test before you start on the starter motor which I also would suspect next.

Well done - and a cheap fix!
But was it easy to get the starter out?
