Hi My 1977 spider from Florida has a cat fitted. Thinking of removing it but will it upset the Spica injection?

If it’s fitted with spica Injection then it’s a mechanical system. So no Ecu or electronics involved (apart from a few solenoids). Therefore Removing the Cat shouldn’t be a problem. I’m sure I fitted A few Imported US spec cars With Std UK spec exhausts Over the years without any issues
The later Motronic system is a different animal as that’s an electronic system.
